The context
Ch3ss M4tch is one of two titles Big Byte Studio shipped to mobile in 2023. As co-founder and producer I ran it from production through store launch — the full cycle, on a small indie footprint.
What I owned
- Release management. Drove the project to a shippable state and handled the app-store submission process on both iOS and Android.
- Contractor direction. Directed the art and sound contractors who delivered the game’s assets, running direction and delivery reviews.
- Capability building. Rather than keep release knowledge in my head, I coached my co-founder through the process so the studio could ship without a single point of failure.
